On the morning of November 16th, Yang Aihua, Deputy Secretary of the University CPC Committee, visited the School of Marxism for a panel on investigation and guidance. Members of the School’s management and faculty member representatives attended the meeting. Liao Jun, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism, presided over the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Liao Jun extended a warm welcome to the arrival of Deputy Secretary Yang Aihua. Tian Yongxiu, Executive Dean of the School, reported on the School’s overall construction and development plan from the aspects including the School overview, the main work and achievements of the construction of ideological and political theory courses, the existing major problems, and the thinking about future work.
Deputy Secretary Yang Aihua fully affirmed the work and achievements of the School of Marxism. She then put forward guiding opinions on the future development of the School from the aspects of school management, curriculum construction, faculty member ability development, and student cultivation quality. Secretary Yang pointed out that since the ideological and political theory courses were the key courses of cultivating virtuous future generations, the School of Marxism should attach great importance to the quality of the ideological and political theory courses and convey the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China into classes and students’ minds as soon as possible.
